Relish lunch at a local restaurant near the vibrant square. In the afternoon, visit the enchanting gardens of Majorelle, Menara, and the iconic Koutoubia tower. After a hearty breakfast, we venture to the Dades Valley through the majestic Tichka Pass and the scenic High Atlas Mountains. Experience a dramatic road journey, observing picturesque Berber villages and captivating landscapes that transform with each passing moment. Our first stop is at the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, the largest in Morocco, recognized as a UNESCO heritage site and once a residence of the Glaoui family. Enjoy lunch near the Kasbah before proceeding to the Dades Gorge, renowned as the “Thousand Kasbahs” road. After breakfast, we journey towards Merzouga via the captivating Todra Gorge, passing through Erfoud and Rissani. Continue to Erfoud and Rissani for a delightful lunch before reaching the village of Merzouga. Experience a warm welcome with mint tea upon check-in to your riad. Explore the nomad wire house, offering Berber handicrafts at lower prices than city markets. In the afternoon, mount your camel and trek through the fascinating sand sea of Erg Chebbi, where you’ll spend the night at the luxury desert camp (DB).
Witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Sahara before peacefully camel-trekking back to Merzouga village. Appreciate the unique beauty of the spectacular Erg Chebbi sand dunes as they transform with the daylight. Enjoy breakfast at your riad before commencing the journey to Fes via the picturesque Ziz Valley and Azrou. Savor the fascinating landscape along the magnificent Ziz Gorges, and through the Tizi Ntalghamt Pass to Midelt. Relish a barbecue lunch in Zaida with refreshing mint tea, then continue to Fes. Visit the Cedar Forest in the Middle Atlas Mountains, where you can observe the Barbarian apes in their natural habitat.
