En route, we will make a stop at the scenic cedar forests, where you can catch a glimpse of the indigenous Barbarian Apes in their natural habitat. As we proceed through the captivating landscapes, we’ll reach Midelt by traversing the Tizi N’talghamt pass, offering panoramic views of the Middle Atlas plateau and distant hints of the magnificent Sahara Desert.

Continuing on, we approach the city of Errachidia, revealing even more breathtaking vistas of the Middle-Atlas plateau. Our route takes us through the picturesque Ziz Valley, characterized by lush palm groves and meandering riverbeds. The journey continues to Erfoud and Rissani before finally arriving at Merzouga. Here, you will be warmly welcomed with traditional Moroccan hospitality, offered a refreshing glass of Moroccan tea, and checked into your hotel. In the evening, get ready for a magical experience as you embark on a camel ride for about 1 hour and 30 minutes to the heart of the Erg Chebbi Sand Dunes. These towering dunes are the highest in North Africa, and it is here that you will spend the night in traditional Berber tents, serenaded by the melodious tunes of Berber drums under the starlit desert sky.

Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

Rise early to witness the captivating sunrise over the golden sands of Merzouga. This awe-inspiring sight will undoubtedly be a highlight of your journey. After breakfast, you’ll take a camel ride back to your hotel in Merzouga, where you can freshen up and prepare for the next leg of our adventure.

Leaving Merzouga behind, we’ll make our way to the famous Todra Gorge, a breathtaking canyon with sheer cliffs rising to impressive heights. Enjoy a leisurely stroll through this natural wonder, appreciating the magnificence of its rock formations and absorbing the tranquil ambiance. Continuing our journey, we’ll reach the charming Skoura village, adorned with picturesque kasbahs and lush palm groves. From there, we’ll venture to Ouarzazate, a city known as “the Hollywood of Africa” due to its role in numerous film productions. Enjoy a delectable lunch break at the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, an architectural marvel and a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Our final leg takes us through the majestic Tizi n’Tichka pass, traversing the High Atlas Mountains.
